Want to know what HTEI is up to? Check out our work here:
HTEI has been organizing a series of virtual town hall meetings to raise awareness and understanding around key topics affecting community members. Have a look for some recordings of our most recent sessions!
The Haddon Township Equity Initiative's first Virtual Town Hall features Haddon Township High School students, teachers, alumni, and community members sharing their stories about how racial issues have impacted them personally. Their hope is that Haddon Township schools educate students about issues of race, equity and tolerance so they are prepared to be thoughtful citizens of a diverse world.
Brent A. Satterly, PhD, LCSW, a professor of Social Work in Widener University's Center for Social Work Education, joined HTEI host Michele Messer for a virtual workshop exploring tribalism and ways to bridge the political divides within families and communities.
